Air NZ Dreamliner makes maiden flight to Nadi Air New Zealand's Dreamliner made its first flight to the Nadi International Airport in the weekend.

And the inaugural Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will increase Air New Zealand's passenger capacity by 11 percent as the wide body aircraft has a total sitting capacity of 302.

Airports Fiji Limited Chairman, Faiz Khan said having witnessed the seating configuration and fancy gadgets inside the plane, they are sure Air New Zealand Dreamliner’s will add a new dimension to passenger experience.

"The economy class seats which are able to be converted into cuddle beds are a great innovation. This augers well for the tourism market in Fiji.”

“Air New Zealand is one of AFL's biggest customers and we are humbled to have contributed in whatever little way to make the launch of the Dreamliner into Nadi a success. We congratulate Air New Zealand.”

The Dreamliner is not making additional flights but is replacing aircrafts that are currently servicing the Auckland-Nadi route.
