Kerosene is up by two cents a litre to $1.18 and diesel goes up by one cent to $1.40. But there is good news for most motorists with motor spirit down five cents a litre to $1.72. And maritime communities will also benefit from a five cents a litre fall in the price of Premix to $1.56. The fall in the price of LPG has also fallen. A 4.5 kilogram cylinder of LPG is down 84 cents to $10.77, a 12 kilogram cylinder is down $2.23 to $28.73, Bulk LPG per KG is down 16 cents to $2.03 and Auto Gas per litre is down 10 cents to $1.36. Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, the Honourable, Faiyaz Koya has welcomed the lower prices for motor spirit, premix and LPG. “As everyone is Fiji knows, we are hostage to price movements overseas and have no control over whatever increases are forced on us by the global market. But the fall in these prices is good news, and especially in the case of motor spirit and LPG as Fijians prepare to celebrate Diwali." "The fall in premix is also good news for maritime communities, who are totally dependent on it for transport and their connection to the rest of Fiji”, he said.
