Cama registers to make vote count in 2022 Akuila Cama of Wainibuka, Tailevu wants his voice to be heard in the next general elections.

Cama was amongst the 200 people waited anxiously outside Civic Centre in Suva today to register for the 2022 general elections.

He said he sees the 2022 general elections as an opportunity to choose a government that would consider introducing other initiatives to assist children from low income earning families.

“The 2022 general elections will be my first time to cast my vote. I had come to register because my voice needs to be heard in the next general elections,” he said.

“I was nervous when I was making my way here simply because 2022 general elections will be the first time for me to vote.

“A lot of times, people my age are often looked down at in terms of important decisions of the nation but by registering today, I will have a say in who the next government will be.

“I do not want to be just included in a manifesto and left forgotten when a party wins. I want a government that will walk the talk,” he said.

He said every member of the public should register to ensure everyone’s voices are heard in the next general elections.
