Ad hoc registration drive ends on Friday The Fijian Elections Office will be concluding its final week of ad hoc voter registration drive this Friday.

Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem said this means that teams will be located at temporary centres that they had set up for registration services until Friday.

Saneem during a press conference this morning said the Fijian Elections Office will not open on Thursday which is a public holiday for Diwali.

“We had over 100 teams across the country to provide services when we started with the registration services,” he said.

“I'd like to now announce the ad hoc teams will be retreating to our permanent voter registration centers from next week.

“These voter registration centers, which were initially announced to be open by January, next year, have already been opened by the Fijian Elections Office.

“So our voter registration centers will be in the voter service center in Suva, for Navua will be based at the Provisional Administrator Office and in Nadi at the West Point Arcade,” he said.

He said it was important for the public to advantage of the ad hoc voter registration drive before it ends on Friday.
