Sugar price increases: FCCC The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission have revealed that the price of sugar will increase by 90 cents value-added tax exclusive per kilogram from today.

Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission said the new prices are a result of extensive public consultations and exhaustive reviews of Fiji Sugar Corporation’s financials.

The commission said the new prices were determined after a thorough review of the submission made by the Fiji Sugar Corporation in June last year.

It said that the new prices of sugar for 1kg are $2.30, 2kg's is $4.30, 4kg's is $9.20 and 25kg's is $57.50.
