Prof Prasad in a statement said Sayed-Khaiyum should be the last person to lecture them about laws, transparency and accountability. “It is easy to see the huge mess the nation is in after 15 years of bungling, providing false economic projections and cooking statistics,” he said. “This is just like he has whipped up this laughable complaint against National Federation Party. He has not provided a single shred of evidence to back his lunatic claim. “The donor lists of FijiFirst make a great study case for forensic audit to determine the authenticity of the source of funds in strict compliance to the Political Parties Act,” he said. "Unlike Fiji’s defacto Prime Minister, we are basing our claim upon scrutiny of FijiFirst’s donor list for 2018. “For the purposes of transparency, he must explain how a businessman, linked to a well-known pharmacy chain, together with his family donated $50,000 on 15th October 2018,” he said. “And a little over two weeks later on November 1, 2018, another $50,000 was listed under the names of five pharmacists operating under the same chain. “All five are located in different locations and are in charge of stores in districts namely, Lautoka, Nadi, Sigatoka, Tavua, Labasa, Ba and Suva. “The question is aid all five pharmacists congregate at a single location to make the donations in person and what was the source of funding. “This case gives rise to perceptions about the modus operandi of Fiji First in raking in millions of dollars for the party’s coffers,” he said. Prof Prasad went on to say that Sayed-Khaiyum should look at himself in the mirror before casting aspersions at the National Federation Party. By Nacanieli Tuilevuka
