11 bills passed in Parliament today

The Fijian Parliament has passed 11 Bills today after a week of robust debate and deliberation by the Government and Opposition MPs.
 
 Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum moved the motion for these bills in the opening of the Parliament session today.  
 
28 Members of Parliament voted in favour while 4 voted against it and 10 did not vote.
 
The bills are as follows:
 
A bill for an act to amend the Tax Administration Act 2009 Bill Number 28 of 2022.
 
A bill for an act to amend the Income Tax Act 2015 Bill number 29 of 2022.
 
A bill for an act to amend the Value Added Tax Act 1991 Bill Number 30 of 2022.
 
A bill for an act to amend the Customs Act 1986 Bill Number 31 of 2022.
 
A bill for an act to amend the customs Tariff Act 1986 Bill Number 32 of 2026.
 
A bill for an act to amend the excise act 1986 Bill Number 33 of the 2022.
 
A bill for an act to amend the super yacht charter act 2010 Bill Number 34 of 2022.
 
A bill for an act to amend the tertiary scholarships and loans at 2014 Bill Number 35 or 2022.
 
A bill for an act to amend the Insurance Act 1998 Bill Number 36 of 2020
 
A bill to amend the veterinary surgeons act 1956, bill number 37 of 2022.
 
A bill for an act to amend the fisheries at 1941 Bill Number 38 of 2022 enacted by the Parliament of the Republic of Fiji.
 
The Parliament session continues.
