The Social Democratic Liberal Party says it opposes same-sex marriage.
SODELPA Leader, Viliame Gavoka says a SODELPA Government will not entertain any dialogue on the issue and the answer will always be, ‘No, Never.’
Gavoka said Fiji is a God-fearing nation.
“SODELPA recognises that there are those that are born differently.”
“These are our brothers, cousins, nephews, nieces etc.; an important part of us and we shall, as always, cherish them, value them, and ensure they enjoy a fruitful life.”
“Same-sex marriage is an abomination and as a Party and as Government, SODELPA will vigorously resist any attempt to bring same-sex marriage into Fiji,” he added.
