VPS students to sit exam at Yat Sen

Year 8 students from Vatuwaqa Primary School will sit their exams at Yat Sen Primary School today and tomorrow.

The Education Ministry has made this arrangement after a fire caused substantial damaged to the school this morning.

Permanent Secretary for Education Anjeela Jokhan is also advising parents and guardians of students from Year 1 to Year 7 to refrain from sending their children to school as the school has been closed.

“We understand that this may have caused some inconvenience, however, we have taken these necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of these students.”

“The Ministry of Education wishes to thank the management, staff and students of Yat Sen
Primary School for allowing their companions from Vatuwaqa Primary School to use their school premises to complete their examinations.”

“We wish students from both schools the very best in their remaining papers for the Fiji Year
8 Examination.”
