27.4pc turnout recorded till 11am

27.4 per cent registered Fijians voted for the 2022 General Election up till 11am.

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem revealed that 164,954 voters have voted at 1,145 polling stations around the country.

“There has been a buzz of activity happening around the country today. A few hours left before the polling venues close at 6pm today.”

“From the reports, we are getting around the country, the weather is standing us strong. It’s bright and sunny in most parts of the country. Please feel free to go and vote.”

“Queues at polling stations have now winded down. That means if you go to vote now, you should be able to vote directly at the polling station. Go inside, vote and go home.”

“As the day progresses we anticipate more people turning up.”
