People’s Alliance Leader Sitiveni Rabuka has thanked Fijian voters for giving them the mandate to lead the nation.
Following SODELPA’s decision to form a coalition with People’s Alliance and National Federation Party, Rabuka also thanked former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and his cabinet ministers for their service in the last eight years.
He also thanked SODELPA for trusting them and giving them the mandate.
“It has been tough days for SODELPA and its Management Board and I thank them for the opportunity,” Rabuka said.
Meanwhile, NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad says the three party coalition Government is ready to serve under the leadership of Rabuka.
In a press conference this evening, Professor Prasad said this historical outcome took after long, intense and frank discussions between the People’s Alliance, the National Federation Party and the Social Democratic Liberal Party.
He also highlighted that an official communication will be sent to His Excellency the President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere confirming the new coalition Government is ready to take Fiji forward.
“The leaders are pleased to give the people of Fiji a Christmas present from a strong, united coalition Government ready to respond to a call for change,” he said.
