Government will do better: Rabuka

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says he is grateful to his predecessor for his vision in wanting to build a bridge in Nayarabale, Cakaudrove to alleviate the problems faced by villagers.

While speaking at the commissioning of the $2.2 million Bridge, Rabuka also thanked the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and taxpayers for financing these developments.

Rabuka indicated his intentions that they will continue to carry out many more development program as it is the duty of the succeeding Government to continue development works for the betterment of the Fijian people.

“We are now in Government because you believed that we would complete these things, and a lot of it will come from money you pay as taxes.”

“So, we thank all those that have participated in the formulation of the plan, in the actual building of the road and the bridge that has brought us to, this very memorable day that we are celebrating today,” Rabuka added.
