Fisherman missing at sea near Rabi

Search efforts are continuing for a 25-year-old fisherman who had gone fishing near Rabi Island.
According to Police, the fisherman from Tabewa Village had accompanied his father on a fishing trip on Monday and whilst returning to land they encountered rough seas, causing their canoe to capsize.
The victim’s 49-year-old father managed to swim safely to shore and alerted other villagers, whereby search efforts were activated.
