No confidence in app: Narube

Unity Fiji Party leader and former Reserve Bank of Fiji Governor Savenaca Narube says they have no confidence in the Fijian Elections Office results app.

Narube in a press conference yesterday made it clear that he has no issues with the manual count system but they are concerned about the FEO management system.

“It’s a manual count and we agree but that’s not the issue. The issue is the management system that’s where the manual count results are put and recorded in. That’s where the breakdown happened on Wednesday night.”

“So we are saying we wouldn’t want that app to be used to tally results because we have no confidence.”

“We want the count to be done again manually and then the tallying of results to be done manually without using this app.”

“We have absolutely no confidence in that app. We don’t have truthful results. It’s not provided to us. We have to go and look for the result,” he said.
