Panapasa, Waqanidrola out of Pearls contention

Veteran players Lydia Panapasa and Merelita Waqanidrola have been dropped from the Fiji Pearls squad.

Both Panapasa and Waqanidrola’s Netball World Cup dreams have ended after personal reasons forced the duo to withdraw from the squad.

Coach Unaisi Rokoura said she respected the decisions of the players, no matter the circumstances.

“It is unfortunate, but at times we understand the decisions by the players, and we stand by them and wish them the best,” Rokoura said.

Rokoura said despite the slight setback, RWC preparations are continuing well and on schedule.
