Fiji Football Association’s player transfer window officially opened today and will close on 31 January.
One major change to the transfer policy this year is that any player who moves to another district will have to represent the new team for at least one year.
Another change approved by the Fiji FA board is regarding the inclusion of overseas based players.
Previously, districts were allowed to field foreign players in tournaments after obtaining their International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
This practice will now cease and teams will only be allowed to apply for player ITC during the two transfer windows (January and June).
