PM pays tribute to Pope Benedict XVI

Prime Minister and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sitiveni Rabuka has expressed deepest condolences on the passing away of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.

In a condolence letter conveyed to His Holiness Pope Francis, Prime Minister Rabuka said: “It is with profound sadness that, I convey my deepest sympathies to your good office for the passing of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.”

“The thoughts and prayers of all the people of Fiji are with you and the Holy See during this difficult time as we remember his profound ministry and legacy.”

“May his soul rest in peace and his life be an inspiration to all of us.”
