Reserve Bank cancels Unimoni Pte Ltd’s licence

Unimoni Pte Limited’s licence to act as a Restricted Foreign Exchange Dealer (Category B) has been cancelled in line with the business decision of the company, to exit the Fiji market.

The Reserve Bank of Fiji while confirming this said Unimoni Pte Limited is no longer permitted to act as an authorised restricted foreign exchange dealer, including transactions relating to the sale, purchase and repatriation of traveller’s cheques and foreign currency notes; remittance of proceeds of repatriated Fiji currency notes; issue of bank drafts; use of telegraphic or electronic transfers for payment and receipt of funds; and any other type of transaction that was approved for Unimoni Pte as an authorised restricted foreign exchange dealer.

Unimoni Pte Limited, which had been in operation in Fiji since 2005,  ceased operation from 11 August 2023.
