Rewa adjusts lineup for Auckland City match

Rewa’s head coach Roderick Singh remains optimistic about his team’s chances despite facing player unavailability and injuries ahead of their upcoming OFC Men’s Championship clash.

Singh revealed that planning for player absences started early when it was confirmed that Samuela Kautoga and Iosefo Verevou would miss the game due to receiving double yellow cards.

“We are still mapping a plan out, we are trying to see who best fits the position,” Singh explained.

“Rewa is a quality side with a lot of potential players, and we should not be having a problem with Samu and Sefo not playing.”

Adding to the challenges, players Tevita Waranaivalu, Inosi Matanisiga, and Delon Shankar are currently nursing injuries.

However, Singh reassured fans that the team’s physio is working tirelessly to ensure the trio’s recovery in time for the match.

The Delta tigers will face champions Auckland City on Sunday at 10am.
