Rewa names strong lineup for decider

Coach Roderick Singh has named a strong lineup for Rewa’s all-important Group A clash of the 2024 OFC Champions League against Papua New Guinea’s Hekari FC.

Singh has opted to use a 4-4-2 formation to match Hekari’s style of play.

Goalkeeper Isikeli Sevanaia makes his third straight appearance.

Solomon Islander Leon Kofana and Patrick Joseph will again be at the heart of the defence while Ivan Kumar and Iowane Matanisiga will be the outer backs.

Captain Setareki Hughes and Tevita Warainaivalu will man the middle of the park and will be supported on the flanks by youngsters Josaia Sela and Asivorosi Rabo.

Veteran Samuela Kautoga and stylish Epeli Valevou will be upfront.

Iosefo Verevou is named in the reserves and will be used an impact in attack.

The big clash kicks off at 10am (Fiji Time).

The Delta Tigers need just a draw to proceed to the semifinals while Hekari needs a win to eliminate the Fijian champions.
