Rewa to address defensive blunders

Rewa Head Coach Roderick Singh has acknowledged the defensive errors his team made during their 2-2 draw with Auckland City in the first OFC Champions League group match.

“We had some defensive blunders in the game against Auckland City, but the boys managed the game well. We’ve discussed and worked on these errors, which could have been costly.”

“We were lucky to escape without greater punishment in that game, but the players understand that such mistakes cannot be repeated against the Solomon Warriors,” Singh explained.

Despite these issues, Singh praised his team for their overall game control and is focused on correcting these mistakes before their next match against the Solomon Warriors.

“We showed in the first game that our players have the capability to really hurt teams and give a tough time, we’ll repeat the good things we have done against Solomon Warriors,” he said confidently.”

There is also concern over Iowane Matanisiga, who was substituted in the second half of the match due to an injury.

The team physio is currently assessing his condition to determine his availability for the game.

The Delta Tigers will face the Solomon Warriors at 1pm tomorrow.
