Rewa Women’s thrash Suva in IDC opener

Rewa’s Tavaita Tikoisuva was the standout performer of the match, scoring an impressive five goals in their 12-0 victory over Suva in the opening match of the Digicel Women’s IDC.

The game was delayed due to unclear field markings, which had to be remarked as per the referee’s request at the Fiji FA Vatuwaqa ground today.

Suva Women’s, relying on younger players like Litiana Serunatu, Nishita Bhan, and Raichal Lal in the forwards, struggled to break through Rewa’s experienced backline.

Rewa’s defense was anchored by sisters Naomi and Sekola Waqanidrola and supported by Maria Veronika, proved too strong for the young forwards.

The Delta Tigresses took control early and led 6-0 by halftime.

Despite having veteran players, including skipper Joyce Naceva, Suva couldn’t contain the relentless Rewa attack.

Tikoisuva’s five goals were complemented by contributions from: Adi Litia Bakaniceva, two goals from Litiana Bolaivanua, Avisaki Toro, Tabua Lirumotovai, Luisa Delai and an own goal by Suva’s skipper Joyce Naceva.
