Rovereto Nayacalevu is new FRU CEO

Fiji Rugby has officially appointed Rovereto Nayacalevu as its new Chief Executive.

He succeeds Simione Valenitabua, who is credited with laying a strong foundation for the organization.

The Fiji Rugby Board of Trustees endorsed Nayacalevu for the role by his extensive experience in both government and commercial sectors as key to leading the organization forward.

Nayacalevu comes to Fiji Rugby after roles such as the Acting Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Fisheries and Forestry and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

His commercial experience spans across Fiji and the Pacific, including the Solomon Islands and Samoa, with expertise in sales, operations, procurement, and logistics.

Holding a Master of Business Administration from the University of the South Pacific, Nayacalevu also brings a deep personal connection to rugby, having played at both 15s and 7s provincial levels.
