Kenyans always test themselves against Fiji: Injera

Former Kenya 7s star Collins Injera says his countrymen always test themselves while playing dual Olympic Games gold medalists, the Fiji 7s team.

The two sides clash in pool-play at the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series Hamilton 7s tomorrow.

Injera said although Fiji has always fared better whenever the two sides have met,  the matches were never smooth contests.

“It is always tough, and Kenya always looks forward to it,” Injera said.

“We know we are always testing ourselves against the best if not one of the best teams on the circuit.

“Kenya always takes it as a challenge, a couple of times we have managed to beat Fiji.

“Memorable times that allowed us to express ourselves especially in playing the same kind of blend both teams display.”

“It will be an awesome clash.”

Fiji take on Kenya tomorrow at 12pm.
