Same team, different mindset, says Byrne

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Head Coach Mick Byrne says the team’s performance against Western Force was significantly weaker compared to their last game against the Brumbies.

“The game was very disappointing. We just lost our way, and we’ll have a good look at ourselves because this cannot be the team that played the Brumbies last weekend,” Byrne stated.

Despite the setback, Drua remains in eighth place in the standings.

Drua skipper Tevita Ikanivere also shared his dissatisfaction with the game’s outcome.

“We’re quite ashamed of the 48-10 scoreline. We know that we’re a better team than that,” Ikanivere admitted.

Currently, the Drua holds the eighth position with 17 points, closely followed by Western Force, who are just two points behind in ninth.

The team will be looking to regroup and improve in their upcoming matches.
