Scrum-half Kuruvoli out with shoulder injury

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua halfback Simione Kuruvoli will miss of the Super Rugby Pacific 2023 season due to injury.

Mick Byrne confirmed the nippy number nine will play a lesser role this season after returning from the Flying Fijians end-of-year tour with an injury.

“He has come back with a bad shoulder, and we have needed to get surgery on that,” Byrne said.

“So, he is going to miss probably most of the season, and right now we are looking into that position at the moment.”

Byrne added that a replacement halfback will be named next week.

Meanwhile, Byrne said there were no other serious injuries in the camp, and players were eager for the challenge ahead.
