The Fiji Pearls have lost their opening Nations Cup match to a skillful Botswana side 60-43 in Singapore yesterday.
Fiji was outclassed throughout the contest and struggled to find their momentum.
Botswana dominated in the start and took a commanding 21-7 lead by the end of the first quarter.
The Pearls fought hard in the second and third quarter, however it was all too little to late as Botswana raced away in the final quarter.
The Pearls continue their campaign tonight against the hosts Singapore at 11pm.
