Fiji lose to South Africa

The Fiji 7s team was beaten by favorites and Cape Town host South Africa 17-7 in their second pool game last night at the DHL Stadium.

Fiji managed their lone points early in the first half through lanky Joseva Talacolo which captain Waisea Nacuqu converted.

But the Blitzboks denied the free-flowing Fijians any possession and took a 12-7 lead at halftime with tries to Shilton Van Wyk and Muller Du Plesis.

Things went from bad to worse in the start of the second half with go to man Talacolo being helped off the field after coping an injury.

JC Pretorius would score another try to seal the win.
