Fiji Rugby Union Interim chief executive Tevita Tuiloa is confident he will be able to fill the void that has been left by out-going incumbent John O’Connor.

Tuiloa said it is a busy year for Fiji Rugby especially with the jam-packed schedule of the Flying Fijians and Fijiana 15s, the Fiji and Fijiana 7s, and numerous local and overseas competitions.

“I look forward to continuing and building on the good work that has already been done and carrying it into this new year,” Tuiloa said.

“Especially in working with the board in achieving some of the strategic goals and plans this year, such as the women’s Super W, the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series and the upcoming Rugby World Cup which is the main focus

The former Suva Rugby Union administrator also thanked the board for their trust in him to hold the post and ensure a smooth transition as well as wished O’Connor all the best in his future endeavours.
