A number of top national reps will miss this week’s McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
This comes as Coach Ben Gollings looks to eliminate any injury risk ahead of the Hamilton and Sydney 7s tournaments.
Captain Waisea Nacuqu, Jerry Tuwai, Josua Vakurunabili and Filipe Sauturaga are some of the key players that will miss out.
Gollings however has given the green-light to some members of the extended squad to play for their respective clubs in the tournament.
The Coral Coast 7s kicks off on Thursday.
