Ba beats Dreketi, moves up on standings

Ba returns from Vanua Levu with six maximum points after beating Dreketi convincingly 3-0 in its second match of the weekend at Subrail Park in Labasa today.

Smarting from their 1-0 win over Labasa last night, the Men In Black entered the match with the favorites tag and went up midway in the first half via a Samuela Kautoga header from a Meli Codro corner delivery.

Two further goals from Avinesh Swamy and Osea Vakatalesau sealed the impressive win for the Imdad Ali coached side which is now placed second on the Vodafone Premier League points table.

Both Ba and Lautoka have 13 points each after playing 6 games but the Blues have scored more goals (13) compared to  Ba (10) although they both have a point differential of 6.

Ba- Josaia Ratu, Manasa Nawakula, Samuela Kautoga, Laisenia Raura, Saula Waqa, Avinesh Swamy, Malakai Tiwa, Sitiveni Cavuilagi, Meli Codro, Osea Vakatalesau (C), Maciu Dunadamu.

Dreketi- Shaneel Naidu (C), Sisa Valesua, Abinesh Chand, Vikranth Chandra, Sitiveni Rakai, Menon Ram, Thomas Steiner, Henry Dyer, Peni Sokia, Ashneel Raju, Rohit Chand.
