Nabenia goal upsets Labasa

Fiji U23 marksman Samuela Nabenia’s first half strike enabled Ba to register a 1-0 victory over Labasa in the feature Vodafone Premier League match tonight at Subrail Park.

The victory was sweet for the Men In Black as it doubled up for the revenge of their disappointing 4-0 loss at the hands of the Babasiga Lions at the Battle Of Giants recently.

Ba fielded Manasa Nawakula at sweeper in place of Alvin Singh who is away overseas and the youngster had a good game in his new position and marshaled the defence pretty well.

Labasa on the other hand missed Manasa Levaci due to double booking but welcomed Fiji U20 striker Akeimi Ralulu in its starting lineup.

The loss at home adds pressure on Labasa to do better in its second match against Nadi tomorrow while Ba with a win in the bag will hope to beat Dreketi and return home with six points.

Labasa plays Nadi at 1pm and Ba will clash against Dreketi at 3pm.
