Suva holds Blues, remains unbeaten

Suva remains unbeaten in the Vodafone Premier League after holding leaders Lautoka to a 1-1 draw in their feature match of the week at Ratu Cakobau Park last night.

Lautoka opened its account in the 27th minute of play through in-form striker Mohammed Shazil Ali but the Whites managed to level scores through Setareki Hughes just before halftime.

Suva had more chances in the second half but poor finishing, some moments of hesitation in front of goal and excellent goalkeeping by Senirusi Bokini denied them.

The Gurjit Singh coached side which is now sitting on second spot with 13 points, a point behind Lautoka can reclaim the lead on the standings tomorrow should it beat Ba. However a win to the Men In Black would see them lead the table as they also have 13 points.

The Suva vs Ba match kicks off at 3pm.

In another fixture tomorrow, Rewa will face Dreketi at 1pm.
