Tekiate to feature for Labasa

Former national and Ba defender Remueru Tekiate has been cleared to feature for Labasa in the new season.

The 26-year-old who featured for Hekari United in the 2016 OFC Champions League is back home and will don the Babasiga Lions jumper in the upcoming Courts Inter District Championship in Suva.

Labasa FA President Rayaz Khan confirmed receiving Tekiate’s International Transfer to FijiLive and said they have also applied for the ITC of Pita Bolatoga and expect to get his clearance by next week.

The inclusion of the two players is expected to boost Labasa’s defence which already boasts the likes of evergreen Taniela Waqa, Manasa Levaci, Ilisoni Logaivou and impressive youngster Ilisoni Loloivalu.
