Labasa marches into IDC final

Labasa has progressed to the grand finale of the 2016 Inter District Championship (IDC) after beating Nadi 1-0 in the first semifinal at the ANZ Stadium in Suva today.

Midfielder Edwin Sahayam scored the winning goal two minutes after halftime from a powerful low shot which gave goalkeeper Vereti Dickson no chance at all.

Nadi had more chances at goal in the first half but strikers Rusiate Matarerega and Napolioni Qasevakatini failed to capitalize.

Propeller Shaft Services sponsored Labasa will meet the winner of the Ba vs Lautoka semifinal in the final at 4pm tomorrow.
