Veterans quarterfinalists confirmed

The quarterfinalists of the 2016 International Veterans tournament have been confirmed following the last round of pool matches at Prince Charles Park in Nadi today.

Ba Legends enter the quarters with the best record as they posted impressive wins over Rakiraki, USA Masters and NZ Labasa.

Host Nadi finished Group A on top with 2 wins and a loss.  Lautoka finished second with 2 wins also but was edged out by Nadi  (+1)in the standing due to better goal difference.

Canada and NZ Tavua both qualify from Group B. Canada tops the group after its 3-0 win over NZ Tavua in their lone match.

Sydney Ba and NZ Lautoka finished Group C with 7 points each but Sydney Ba (+6) tops the group due to better goal difference.

Ba topped Group D with maximum 9 points while Rakiraki finished second with 4 points.

In the Quarterfinals, Nadi will take on NZ Tavua at 3.30pm, Canada Masters will face Lautoka at 4.30pm, Sydney Ba Masters will battle against Rakiraki at 7.30pm while Ba will battle against NZ Lautoka at 8.30pm.

Day 1:  Ba Legends 3-0 USA Masters, Suva Masters 1-2 NZ Lautoka Masters.

Day 2: NZ Levuka Masters 0-0 Navua, Ba Legends 3-0 Rakiraki, Nadi Veterans 2-0 Lautoka, NZ Lautoka Masters 0-0 Sydney Ba Masters, Suva Masters 0-0 Nadroga, NZ Labasa Masters 1-1 USA Masters.

Day 3: Canada 3-1 NZ Tavua Masters, Sydney Ba Masters 2-0 Suva, Lautoka Masters 1-0 Navua, Rakiraki 1-0 NZ Labasa Masters, Nadi Veterans 0-2 New Zealand Levuka, Nadroga 0-2 NZ Lautoka Masters, Ba Legends 2-0 NZ Labasa.

Day4: Lautoka 2-1 NZ Levuka, Nadi 2-1 Navua, Nadroga 0-3 Sydney Ba, USA Masters 0-0 Rakiraki.
