Suva registers first VPL win

Suva registered its first Vodafone Premier League win at home today, beating Nadi 2-0 in an interesting encounter.

Both teams entered the match with a loss each and the Whites were bolstered by the inclusion of Setareki Hughes whose suspension was lifted by Fiji Football Association.

Hughes scored the lone goal of the first half through a beautiful finish.

Nippy midfielder Sahil Dave netted Suva's second goal towards the end of the match.

Nadi strikers despite having good chances in front of the goal-mouth failed with their attempts with Rusiate Matarerega and Ame Votoniu hitting the cross-bar twice.

Suva now has 3 points after two matches while Nadi is yet to register a point after two games.
