England wallops Fiji in semis

England thumped Fiji 40-7 in the second semifinal of the 2017 Vancouver 7s today.

The Fijians had no answer to an England onslaught in the first half and trailed 19-0 at halftime as speedster Dan Norton grabbed a brace of tries and Phil Burgess scored one.

Dan Bibby, Captain Tom Mitchell and newcomer Will Edwards scored three more tries in the second half to wrap up the big win while Fijian Captain Osea Kolinisau scored a late consolation towards the end of the match.

England will face South Africa in the grand finale while Fiji will face USA in the third place playoff.

South Africa fought tooth and nail to beat the USA 14-10 in their semifinal clash.
