Fiji cruises into Vancouver 7s semis

Fiji has marched into the semifinals of Vancouver 7s after beating Australia 28-10 in the last quarterfinal today.

Australia was first to get on the board through Nick Malouf but two excellent tries by Jerry Tuwai and replacement Masivesi Dakuwaqa saw the Fijians lead 14-5 at halftime.

Apisai Domolailai and nippy Waisea Nacuqu touched down for two more tries after the break to seal the win for Fiji while Tim Ashtee scored a late consolation for the Australians.

Fiji will face England in the second semifinal at 10.30am (Fiji Time).

The English fought tooth and nail to beat New Zealand 14-12 in their quarterfinal clash.

Series leaders and favorites South Africa outclassed hosts Canada 36-7 in the first quarterfinal to book a semifinal spot against USA who narrowly defeated Argentina 14-12.
