Fijiana finishes fifth in Las Vegas

The Telecom Fijiana side finished fifth in the Las Vegas 7s today after beating Russia 19-7 in an exciting playoff match.

The Iliesa Tanivula coached side earlier lost 22-7 to Australia in the quarterfinals but managed to win the fifth place playoff semifinal 15-12 against France.

Fiji’s impressive performance in Las Vegas sees the team retain the fourth spot after three tournaments with 36 points.

Las Vegas 7s winners New Zealand lead the standings with 56 points, Australia is second with 50 points and Canada is third with 46 points.
