Roy leads, NZ based duo make final cut

New Zealand based James Hoyt and Rinal Prasad have been named in the final 20-member Vodafone Fiji squad to face New Zealand in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The pair along with Rewa’s Josateki Tamudu and Lautoka’s Kavaia Rawaqa will don the national jumper for the first time at Lautoka’s Churchill Park on Saturday.

Rugged Lautoka defender Kolinio Sivoki who missed the Rio Olympics due to disciplinary issues has also made the final cut.

Rewa's Samuela Kautoga, Labasa's Tony Tuivuna and Fiji U20 utility Bruce Hughes are notable exclusions.

Wellington Phoenix striker Roy Krishna will lead the Christophe Gamel coached side and he will be assisted Taniela Waqa, Osea Vakatalesau and goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau.
