Ba beats Labasa, qualifies for OCL

Ba has qualified for the 2018 OFC Champions League after beating Labasa 3-0 in their Vodafone Premier League second place decider at Govind Park today.

Ba with 25 points on the table just needed a draw in the match to finish second while Labasa (24 points) was in a must win situation.

Lanky striker Saula Waqa scored Ba’s opening goal from the penalty spot midway in the first half.

Labasa suffered a major blow after star striker Christopher Wasasala was sent off towards the end of the half following his second booking.

Laisenia Raura and Samuela Nabenia netted two more goals in the second half to seal the important win for the hosts.

Ba will now accompany Vodafone Premier League winners and neighbours Lautoka to the OFC Champions League.
