Rewa came from behind to beat Nadi 3-2 in their Vodafone Premier League fixture at Prince Charles Park today. After suffering a 4-0 loss at the hands of Ba yesterday, the Delta Tigers entered the match depleted and allowed the Jetsetters to take a 2-0 lead through strikes by Rusiate Matarerega and Elvin Prasad. Midfielder Tevita Waranaivalu pulled one back for the visitors just before halftime. Replacement striker Misaele Draunibaka leveled scores for Rewa from the penalty spot midway in the second half. And the former Fiji U23 rep proved to be the hero for Rewa after he snatched a late winner from a powerful attempt. Rewa now has 21 points after playing 13 matches while Nadi has 17 points after 13 matches and plays its last game against Suva next weekend. By Reginald Chandar |
