RKS creates schools rugby history

Ratu Kadavulevu School created secondary schools rugby history tonight by becoming the first school ever in 78-years to win all grade finals of the Coca Cola Zero Deans competition.

The Tailevu based school wrapped up its successful achievement in style by defeating reigning champs and arch rivals Queen Victoria School 20-5 in the U18 final.

Earlier in the day, the boys from Delanakaikai walked away with the U14, U15, U16, U17 and U19 titles.

In the U14 grade, RKS narrowly defeated QVS 9-7 to win $1200.

In the U15 grade final, the Lodonians came from behind to beat QVS 18-17 to claim $1500.

In the U16 and U17 grades, RKS defeated Lelean Memorial School 22-13 ($2400) and 16-13 ($2500) respectively.

The U19 final went to the wire as Lelean blew away a 13-0 halftime lead to lose 14-13 to RKS. RKS won $2000 for winning the final.

And for winning the main U18 final, RKS received $5000.
