Defending champion Fiji made a shaky start in the 2017 Oceania Rugby 7s Championship in Suva today and registered a 35-0 win over New Caledonia.
The hosts made a strong start and led 28-0 at halftime with forward Paula Dranisinukula, Waisea Nacuqu (2) and Captain Jerry Tuwai crossing over the tryline.
The Fijians made a lot of handling errors in the second half and missed at least four scoring chances before Tuwai raced in to score their fifth try of the match.
