Drudru eyes first BOG win with Ba

National striker Samuela Drudru is looking to win his first Battle of the Giants title with Ba this weekend.

The 31-year-old has won all other titles on the domestic scene with Suva, Nadi and Lautoka but is yet to taste success in the BOG.

“I came very close to winning my first BOG with Lautoka last year but we just fell short in the final to Labasa.”

“There is another chance with Ba and we hope to overcome Rewa in the semifinals.”

“We have been preparing well for the semifinal and the young brigade should be commended for reaching the semifinal.”

“We have a young team but the players are determined to give their best.”

“Being one of the experienced players in the team, it is my job to guide the youngsters and I am hoping to give my best and help the team win the BOG,” he added.
