Nadi beats Lautoka, tops Group B

Nadi topped Group B of the 2020 Punjas Battle of the Giants after beating host Lautoka 3-2 in the final group match at Churchill Park on Sunday.

The Kamal Swamy coached side marches into next weekend's semifinals as the only unbeaten team.

A brace of goals by Captain Avinesh Suwamy gave the Jetsetters a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Lautoka came back strongly in the second and youngsters Aporosa Yada and Merrill Nand found the target to draw the scores level before replacement striker Jolame Vukivuki scored a late winner for Nadi.

Nadi registered a 4-1 win over Navua on the opening day and overcame Rewa yesterday.
