Fiji Shadow to meet Taveuni in semis

The Gareth Baber coached Fiji Shadow will meet Raiwasa Taveuni in the Cup semifinals of the 45th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s after beating Fire 24-0 in their quarterfinal clash this afternoon at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

A good set up from playmaker Jerry Tuwai and Meli Derenalagi gave opportunity to Jiuta Wainiqolo to score the first try for Fiji Shadow and Livai Ikanikoda converted for a 7-0 lead.

Minutes later, Waisea Nacuqu burst from a tackle and scored the second try for Fiji Shadow while Ikanikoda converted.

Wainiqolo scored another try before halftime to extend Fiji Shadow's lead by 19-0.
