Raiwasa Taveuni books semis spot

Raiwasa Taveuni has booked its place in the semifinals of the 45th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s after beating Blue Diamond 17-5 in their Cup quarterfinal clash at the ANZ Stadium in Suva today.

A first half try by playmaker Jeremaia Matana separated the two teams at the break.

Ilaisa Bete's try early in the second half leveled up the scores before Roqica Maleli and Peni Lala scored two back to back tries one of which was converted to seal the victory.

Raiwasa Taveuni will meet the Gareth Baber coached Fiji Shadow in the first semifinal later this evening.
