Raiwasa Taveuni eager to bounce back

After a disappointing performance in the third leg of the Super Sevens Series in Savusavu, Raiwasa Taveuni is out to make amends by winning the 45th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Captain Tevita Daugunu said they have a lot to prove in Marist 7s and the players are aiming to deliver nothing but their best performance in all their matches.

"It was a disappointing performance for us in Savusavu because we didn't expect to be kicked out from the quarterfinal stage. This is the right time to get back at the teams that beat us.”

“We are trying our best to take our game to the next level because the boys felt the loss really badly and they were saddened. We regrouped and came and we have secured two wins now so this shows that the team is on the right path to progress.”

“We had a lot of mistakes in the third leg and discipline was the main weakness as players didn't make the right call in the game. They took their ways but that's something we all have been working on and want to play as a team and return to our usual form."

"We worked on our kicking and try scoring because we were bad in these areas in the third leg. We couldn't score much tries and the easy ones also. We want to improve on all that so we get victorious and retain our form,” he added.
